PFA produces two major programs:

  1. Petaluma Cinema Series: Wednesday night screenings of classic, foreign, & independent films with guests, lectures, and post-screening discussions.
  2. Film Fest Petaluma: an annual downtown film festival featuring the best new short films from around the world with filmmakers in conversation.

In addition, PFA continues to engage young people with our Youth in Film program. The mission of the expanding Youth in Film program is to educate junior high and high school students about the increasing importance of film and video communication in our culture. We want to provide students with a historical framework for understanding film, and the production skills they will need to express themselves, interact and participate in the world-wide dialog that is made possible through the use of film and video.
